Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the MatchChat application ("MatchChat", "we", "the app"), a service that connects people who are physically present at the same partner event or venue ("venue") in real time. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can use MatchChat

MatchChat is restricted to people who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18. Accounts identified as belonging to minors may be suspended or removed.

2. How the app works

MatchChat enables profile discovery and messaging only while you are physically present at a partner event or venue, verified through geolocation. Likes, matches, and conversations are tied to that event and are temporary. Chat messages expire automatically and are not stored permanently.

3. Registration and account

• You may create an account using email verification or social login through Google or Apple.
• You are responsible for keeping access to your account confidential.
• You may not create a profile with false information, third-party photos without authorization, or impersonate another person.
• One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

4. User conduct

When using MatchChat, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users;
• Send illegal, discriminatory, hateful, or unsolicited sexually explicit content;
• Use the app for unauthorized commercial purposes, including spam, advertising, or selling products or services;
• Attempt to access other people's accounts or bypass presence verification mechanisms;
• Reverse engineer, scrape data, or automate app usage outside official mechanisms.

Reports can be submitted directly in the app. Accounts that violate these rules may be suspended or banned at MatchChat's discretion.

5. Gifts, credits, and VIP subscription

MatchChat may offer in-app purchases of credits, virtual gifts, and VIP subscriptions, processed by a third-party payment gateway. Purchased credits and gifts are non-refundable except where required by law. Some physical gifts may be redeemable in person at a partner venue, subject to availability.

6. User content

You retain ownership of the photos and content you submit, but you grant MatchChat a license to display that content inside the app to other users in the same event, as necessary to operate the service.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms, behave in a way that puts other users at risk, or request account closure. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time. See the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer

MatchChat is a social connection tool and is not responsible for user conduct outside the app or for in-person meetings that result from use of the service. You use the app at your own risk.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Material changes will be communicated inside the app.
